Norwegian Wood

The cover design for Norwegian Wood takes inspiration from a quote where one of the characters refers to herself as the side of a matchbox. From there, I decided to use the language of the matchbox to inspire my design. Using symbolism taken from Japanese culture and from the book itself, this cover show the fragility of the characters portrayed in the story.
